Alison - Practice Manager

After spending five years working for a Management Training company down-under I've returned to my northern routes and embarked upon a new challenge here at Shine Dental. The team welcomed me to the role of Practice Manager in September 2011.

At such an exciting time to join the practice my focus will be to ensure we continue to provide a high level of service and care for all our clients and are continually improving the practice. I also will enjoy supporting the team and maintaining the relaxed and friendly environment we pride ourselves on.

I enjoy a balanced life of work and family and with a little girl to keep me busy I try to ensure I keep up with my visits to the gym!

Rosie - Dental Therapist

Hi my name is Rosie, I'm the Dental Hygienist/Therapist at Shine Dental. I have worked at the practice since Jan 2011, my role includes the treatment and prevention of gum disease and providing you with all the information you need to help keep your mouth healthy. I am also able to carry out fillings on adults and children from a treatment plan written by Dee.

I graduated from Leeds University in 2010 and since then have been working hard in a variety of different dental environments to help gain as much knowledge as I can.

Away from work I love cooking, spending time with friends and practicing nail art!

Jayne - Head Nurse

Hi everyone! My name is Jayne and I joined the Shine Dental Team in July 2011. I'm really enjoying the lovely, family atmosphere Shine Dental has to offer. All the staff here have the same aim and this is to make sure your visit with us at the practice is as relaxing and pleasant as possible. With over 20 years experience in Dentistry, patient care is very important to me. I am Head Nurse at Shine Dental, which means I am always here to help a person in need and I am also in charge of overseeing Infection control and making sure the general cleanliness of the practice is kept to an exceptional standard.

When I am not working, I am a busy Mum with a house full of teenagers and a wonderful husband to look after. When I do get a minute to myself, I love to read fictional and non-fictional novels, and try to attend the gym as often as I can!

Dee Patel - Principal Dentist

Hi my name is Dee, the owner of shine dental. I opened the practice in Manchester in April 2010, and my vision was to focus on providing the best level of care for my clients & offer the highest quality of dentistry available today.

Since graduating from Leeds University in 2005, I have completed year long postgraduate courses in advanced restorative dentistry, aesthetic dentistry & implants at the prestigious Tipton training. This has enabled me to gain extensive knowledge of new advances in dentist technology & best practice.

I enjoy treating nervous patients and before your treatment I will endeavour to make sure you are happy with all stages of your treatment.

The time I spend away from Shine Dental (which isn't a lot) is mostly spent with family, the gym (particularly squash) & eating out.

Ashleigh Webb - Dental Surgery Assistant

I joined the Shine Dental team in November as a trainee dental nurse and I love it! My aim is to ensure that you feel well at home when you come and visit us and to show patients that coming to the dentist is definitely not as scary as it used to be!

I love to get involved in the marketing and social networking side of work, making sure you are constantly kept up to date with what's going on at shine in Manchester!

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends, reading fictional novels, surfing the internet and going to my dance classes, where I dance for an acrobatic dance team and have done for 18 years as I believe in a healthy living, whilst having fun as well.

Claire - Reception Manager

Hello everyone! My name is Claire and I joined the Shine Dental team in February 2012 as Reception Manager. Being a busy mum with two young children and a husband to look after, the caring, family atmosphere here at Shine Dental is perfect for me. With my customer care background, my main aim here is to make sure you feel at ease from the time you walk in the door to leaving us, until the next time. From making your appointments to any quieries or questions you may have, I am always just a phone call away. My drive and ambition has helped me to understand the dentistry aspect of the job and I am always looking for new ways to improve and learn.

Outside of work I am a typical girl who likes all the usual girlie stuff - visiting the hair dressers, shopping for shoes and clothes and listening to my music! I also love spending quality time with my family and friends.
