Dr Dee Patel is our Principal Dentist. Dee has been our Practice Principal and Practice Owner at Shine Dental since 2011.
Dee launched Shine Dental with a very clear vision – to create a people- focused service offering the highest level of dental care to our wonderful community. She is great at all things dentistry!
She loves providing general and cosmetic dentistry to her patients and has a keen interest in Implants, Invisalign and Smile Make-Over cases.
Her passion is helping people achieve their ultimate smile goals and restoring their confidence.
When I took over this practice it was a single-surgery NHS practice. Like many dentists, I’d spent years wanting to give patients the time, attention and care they truly deserved, but often felt limited by a system that didn’t always allow that.
I believed there was a better way.
I wanted to create a practice where people felt genuinely listened to. A place where appointments weren’t rushed, where nervous patients felt safe, and where every decision was made around what was right for the person sitting in the chair, not simply what needed to be done.
Building Shine has been a journey of hard work, determination and plenty of late nights. While raising my family, we’ve gradually grown from one surgery into a thriving practice with three surgeries, a wonderful team of more than 15 people, and the technology to provide a wide range of treatments under one roof.
But despite everything that’s changed, one thing has never changed.
Every patient who walks through our door deserves to feel welcome, understood and cared for.
Dentistry is about much more than teeth. It’s about helping someone smile without feeling self-conscious. It’s about relieving pain, restoring confidence, easing anxiety and giving people the reassurance that they’re in safe hands.
I’m incredibly proud of the practice we’ve built, but I’m even more proud of the culture we’ve created. Our team genuinely cares about people. We take the time to listen, explain things clearly and make sure you always know what to expect. We celebrate with our patients, support them through difficult moments, and build relationships that often last for many years.
That’s what Shine has always been about.
